Will Chiranjeevi go for united Andhra

The drubbing of Telangana Rashtra Samiti at the hustings has cleared the cloud and has set the platform for film star Chiranjeevi who was looking to take the plunge into politics. Party honchos, however, believe that now Chiru's party can go to the people with Samaikhya Andhra slogan. Though, they had earlier thought of a neutral stand on the Telangana issue, the results are said to have changed their minds.

"We have waited to know the public mood on the sensitive Telangana issue. How can we talk on such crucial issues without understanding the pulse. Now we've got clear idea about what the masses' feeling," said a close aide of the star. But some Telangana sympathisers feel that Chiranjeevi should have a tie up with the TRS to have a formidable combination to fight the polls. But the intelligentsia backing him feels that an alliance with TRS would actually harm the party's prospects in other regions, as the latter is known for its allegations against Andhra people.

With a clear message from the people of Telangana that they are not carried away with the sentiments and still respect political parties, which work for the development, Chiranjeevi's party would announce a crystal clear stand in favour of united state. The party is also finalizing its stand on SC's classification, which has become a major issue between Mala and Madigas. To strike a right balanced chord, party intellectuals are discussing with several SC leaders.
