Bujjigadu(prabhas,trisha)

Bujjigadu, directed by Puri Jagannath has an interesting star cast involving Prabhas, Trisha Krishnan, Sanjana, Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu and others. Prabhas after three flop films is back with a bang with improved body language and a stylish performance.

Here goes the story. Bujji ( Prabhas) and Chitti (Trisha) are neighbors and childhood friends. In a quarrel, Chitti tells Bujji not to talk to her for 12 years (this happens when they are 12 years of age!!). Now Bujji runs away from home to Chennai. After 12 years he returns to Vizag and learns that Chitti is studying in London and her family has settled in Hyderabad.

Bujjigadu is a person who fights for fun. On his way to Vizag, Bujji lands in trouble and is arrested by the police. He draws the attention of Machi Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao) with his toughness. Sivanna (Mohanbabu) is a mafia leader is Hyderabad and Machi Reddy is his rival. Machi Reddy decides to utilize Bujjigadu to eliminate Sivanna for which he agrees to pay a sum of Rs 1 crore. Bujji is thrashed by Sivanna’s gang but his gut is recognized and Sivanna persuades Bujji to stay with him.

The story takes a twist at this point as Bujji realises that Chitti is Sivanna's sister. Sivanna is also well aware of the happening and the love Chitti has for Bujji. Now what does Sivanna do to Bujji, who wins the rival battle? does Chitti come to know about Bujji? The answers to these questions form the climax of the film.

Prabhas has performed his role satisfactorily as a funny, arrogant and tough guy. Trisha has no significant performance and her makeup is a bit awkward concealing her true beauty. Mohanbabu has also played a very role in the film, a definite complement to the film. Trisha and Sanjana have no significant roles to perform. Other artists like Kota Srinivasa Rao, Subba Raju and others performed their roles well. Music by Sandeep Chowta is good to hear, the only drawback being there is no variety in the songs and no melody notes.

The weak storyline by Puri Jagannath is also one of the major drawbacks of the film. With a much better storyline Bujjigadu could have done better. To sum up, the film is an average entertainer and is watchable.
