'Srirama Navami' with NTR as hero

After the release of 'Kantri', NTR agreed to play in the direction of VV Vinayak for a film to be presented by Kodali Nani and produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan on the banner of Vaishnavi Arts, with Trisha and Tamanna in the female lead.

NTR had signed the dotted line for a film to be produced by 'Dil' Raju under the direction of Sri Vasu of 'Lakshyam'-fame. NTR reportedly accepted advance for the movie.

The film 'Srirama Navami' is likely to go to sets in October. This is the second film for Sri Vasu.

There was a sentiment in the Telugu film industry that the second film of any director would be a flop with an exception to directors like Rajamouli and Boyapati Sreenu. Very recently, Bhaskar included himself to this list of exception.

With the producers being hit by sentiments, none came forward to bring out a film with Sri Vasu, but Dil Raju and NTR dared to step ahead as they liked the subject.

Presently, Dil Raju is busy with his latest movie 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam' with Varun Sandesh as hero.
