READY

If there is one director in the industry today who is in the A-list, then it surely is Sreenu Vaitla. Dee and Dubai Seenu have done wonders to his career. His star is rising as he has signed a film with Indira Productions, which is owned by Manjula, Mahesh Babu's sister. After that, his Nagarjuna starrer, tentatively titled King, is scheduled to start regular shooting this summer.

His latest feel-good film, titled Ready (Dhenikaina), starring Ram and Genelia, produced by Ravi Kishore under Sravanthi Movies banner is all set for release on June 14. Ram, who developed a good fan following with films like Devadasu and Jagadam, is all set for his next flick after quite a long gap. The shooting took place in Araku, Vizag and Hyderabad. The rest of the songs were shot in Switzerland and New Zealand.

Producer Ravi Kishore says, "Ram has earned a youthful reputation with his comfort level in action and dance scenes in his earlier films. Now our film will present him to family audiences in a full-length family entertainer."

Another notable fact is that Sreenu Vaitla has roped in light-eyed Navdeep and Tamanaah of Happy Days fame, to appear in cameos roles. Navdeep is breaking into Tamil movies with Aah A EE E, the remake of the Telugu hit Chandamama. Brahmanandam plays a powerful pivotal role, similar to his roles in the recent releases Dee, Krishna and Jalsa.

After Anandam and Venky, Sreenu Vaitla and Devi Sri Prasad are coming together again for Ready, which has heightened audiences' expectations. The song picturisation, especially the one shot in Switzerland, has been beautifully choreographed, with Devi Sri Prasad's lilting tunes. Since Devi Sri has composed the music for Jalsa, and the audio albums are still selling like hot cakes, Ready's audio might well compete with the talented music director's Jalsa audio albums - quite an enviable position.

Dance director Prem Rakshith has composed some good steps for Ram. There is a high level of confidence within the unit as the director has delivered back-to-back hits before Ready.

The film boasts of good casting with many noted artists in the team. Such combination shots need proper planning and diplomact; obviously, Sravanthi Movies is a master of both. The makers are planning to release the film this summer.
